BiomeCentric Industry Event Competition Game of Skill Promotion Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

1.1 The promoter of this competition is BIOMECENTRIC PTY LTD ABN 22 654 588 075 of 27 Expansion Street, Molendinar 4214 Queensland, Australia (“Promoter”).

1.2 By entering this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Competition Type

2.1 This promotion is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.

2.2 The competition will be conducted across selected association events held in Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland during the Promotion Period.

2.3 All eligible entries received across the participating events will be pooled into one single competition, with one overall winner selected.

3. Promotion Period

3.1 The competition commences 28 May 2026 at 8.00am AEST and closes at 31 July 2026 at 5.00pm AEST (“Promotion Period”).

3.2 Entries received outside the Promotion Period will not be accepted.

4. Eligibility

4.1 Entry is open to individuals who:

a) attend a participating association event during the Promotion Period;

b) complete the entry requirements outlined in clause 5; and

c) satisfy any eligibility requirements specified by the Promoter.

4.2 Employees, directors, contractors, officers and immediate family members of the Promoter and any agencies or companies associated with the administration of this competition are ineligible to enter.

4.3 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and may disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility criteria.

5. How to Enter

5.1 To enter, eligible entrants must during the Promotion Period:

a) attend a participating event;

b) scan the designated QR code provided by the Promoter;

c) complete all required contact details in the online entry form; and

d) submit an answer to the competition question.

5.2 Entry is free.

5.3 Limit of one (1) entry per eligible person per event, unless otherwise stated by the Promoter.

5.4 Incomplete, illegible, indecipherable, misleading, or late entries will be deemed invalid at the Promoter’s discretion.

6. Judging Criteria

6.1 This competition is a game of skill, and the winner will be selected based on the merit of their response.

6.2 Entries will be judged by a panel appointed by the Promoter on the basis of creativity, originality, relevance, quality, and/or accuracy of response, as determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion.

6.3 The entry judged to be the best answer will be deemed the winner.

6.4 The judges’ decision is final and binding, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into regarding the outcome.

7. Prize

7.1 There will be one (1) overall prize winner across all participating events.

7.2 The winner will receive:

Apple AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation valued at approximately AUD $299.00 (“Prize”).

7.3 The total prize pool is approximately AUD $299.00

7.4 The Prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash unless otherwise determined by the Promoter.

7.5 If any component of the Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of equal or greater value.

8. Winner Selection and Notification

8.1 Judging will take place on 6 August 2026 at 27 Expansion Street, Molendinar, 4214 Queensland, Australia.

8.2 The winner will be notified by phone using the contact details supplied at entry.

8.3 The Promoter may also notify the winner by email if contact cannot be established by phone.

8.4 If the winner cannot be contacted within seven days, is deemed ineligible, or does not claim the Prize, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner based on the judging criteria.

9. Publicity

9.1 By accepting the Prize, the winner agrees to participate in reasonable promotional activities associated with the competition if requested by the Promoter, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

9.2 The Promoter may publish the winner’s first name, surname initial, and state/territory of residence for promotional purposes.

10. Privacy

10.1 By entering this competition, entrants consent to the collection of their personal information by the Promoter for the purposes of:

a) administering the competition;

b) contacting entrants in relation to the competition and Prize;

c) providing a thank-you communication following the event and if they have opted to receive the event presentation; and

d) inviting entrants to a relevant webinar or educational session conducted by the Promoter.

10.2 Entrants will not be added to the Promoter’s general marketing database unless they have expressly opted in to receive marketing communications.

10.3 Any personal information collected will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at https://biomecentric.com.au, and applicable privacy laws including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

11. Disqualification

11.1 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:

a) breaches these Terms and Conditions;

b) submits false or misleading information;

c) tampers with the entry process; or

d) engages in unlawful, improper, or inappropriate conduct.

11.2 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrant details.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, cost, expense, or claim suffered or incurred by an entrant arising from or in connection with the competition or Prize.

12.2 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes any rights or remedies available under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or other applicable laws that cannot be excluded by law.

12.3 The Promoter is not responsible for technical malfunction, lost entries, interrupted internet access, or any issues affecting entry submission via QR code or online form.

13. Cancellation and Changes

13.1 If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to technical issues, fraud, unforeseen circumstances, or any cause beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, terminate, or cancel the competition, subject to applicable laws.

13.2 The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, subject to applicable legal requirements.

14. Governing Law

14.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia.

14.2 Entrants submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia in relation to any dispute arising under these Terms and Conditions.
